Transportation
We are committed to working with families to ensure our students can get to and from Bronx Arts safely. Please see below for our policies and options for transportation. Due to COVID-19 we are expecting changes to bussing services and are awaiting guidance from the Office of Pupil Transportation. At this point in time we do not know whether or not bussing will be offered for the Fall 2020 school year.
Elementary
School
At Bronx Arts Elementary we partner with the Department of Transportation and the Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) to coordinate transportation for our students, based on eligibility. Transportation eligibility is based on a student’s grade level, walking distance between home and school, and existing accommodations based on a medical condition, housing status, or safety assessment. Please see the below table for OPT eligibility based on grade and distance.
Middle
School
Bronx Arts Middle School partners with the Department of Pupil Transportation (OPT) to provide eligible students with metro cards. At this time, no bussing is provided.
